Now nordic launch for ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12

NEWS Article

KEY POINTS

  • Extreme performance: Tri-band 12-stream WiFi 6 with latest 2.0 GHz 64-bit Broadcom quad-core CPU and WiFi chipsets for speeds of up to 11000 Mbps

  • Wider coverage:Latest ASUS RangeBoost Plus technology delivers up to 38% wider coverage than previous generation
  • Futuristic design: Sleek black architectural casing with transparent-walled antenna compartment creates a perfect balance of power and beauty

Today marked the launch of ASUS ZenWiFi®Pro XT12, a high-performance tri-band WiFi 6 (802.11ax) mesh networking system designed to provide fast whole-home WiFi coverage.

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 combines performance and beauty in a perfectly balanced package that works with the ASUS WiFi 6 ecosystem to take the capabilities of whole-home mesh networks to the next level. The brand-new design incorporates a stunning transparent antenna compartment on the top, creating an elegant and futuristic look that will enhance any home.

Nordic launch for ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12

Engineered to deliver extreme WiFi performance — up to 11000 Mbps — from the next-gen 2.0 GHz 64-bit Broadcom CPU and Broadcom WiFi chipset, the tri-band ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 also offers optional automatic selection of the best backhaul connection type depending on the environment. The tri-band configuration allows allocation of a dedicated backhaul connection for more efficient mesh networking, and WiFi 6 supports ODMA and MU-MIMO technology to deliver 4X the capacity of WiFi 5, ensuring smooth connections in device-dense environments.

Extreme performance

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 is one of the first models in the new ASUS ZenWiFi Pro series, a series engineered to deliver extreme performance for demanding users. This two-node WiFi 6 mesh networking system is powered by the next-generation 2.0 GHz 64-bit Broadcom CPU and WiFi chipset, which increase throughput by up to 18% compared to the previous WiFi 6 platform.

The 12-stream design delivers combined total speeds of up to 11000 Mbps across the 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz frequency bands. Unlike dual-band mesh systems that halve bandwidth available to devices due to the need for a backhaul connection, XT12 allows users to dedicate one of the 5GHz bands as a dedicated backhaul connection, allowing faster and more stable inter-hub traffic without slowing down connected devices.

To unlock the full potential of high-speed networking for wired router-to-client fronthaul and router-to-node backhaul connections, ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 includes two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports. These ports support link aggregation, enabling ultrafast speeds from the router to bandwidth-heavy devices such as NAS devices.

Wider coverage

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 includes ASUS RangeBoost Plus — the latest, most powerful version of RangeBoost — which improves coverage for all WiFi devices including legacy devices. In combination with ASUS RF technology and other exclusive ASUS technologies, RangeBoost Plus dramatically improves WiFi signal range and coverage by up to 38%[i]. The two-node configuration supplied should be sufficient for coverage up to approximately 6000 square feet. Coverage can be extended even further for larger homes using any ASUS AiMesh-compatible router.

Futuristic design

The ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 system consists of two identically-styled nodes. These feature a futuristic new look inspired by architecture, with vertical ridges adorning the black casing. On the top of the casing is a transparent-walled compartment housing the eight powerful antennas. The overall appearance is totally modern and elegant, presenting a perfect balance of power and beauty.

Availability & Pricing

ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 is available now with a recommended price of 9490 SEK, 9490 NOK, 899 €, 6749 DKK.
