The Children’s Climate Prize welcomes nominations for 2022 for seventh year on the row
The search for young people who make extraordinary efforts for the climate and the environment continues.
The Children’s Climate Prize 2022 will be the seventh year that the prize will be awarded to entrepreneurs, innovators, changemakers and conservators around the world.
Nominations will be accepted until May 15th.
Climate change is happening here and now, and the consequences of several generations of unsustainable consumption of the earth’s resources are already noticeable. In 2021, 40% of the US population is reported to have been affected by fires, floods and other climate-related crises. Sustainable solutions have to come quickly, and around the world there are lots of young people who are fighting every day for a brighter future.
The Children’s Climate Prize recognizes and supports young people aged 12-17 from all over the world, who take action for a better climate and environment. The nomination period for 2022 has opened, and until May 15th you can nominate yourself or be nominated by someone else at www.ccprize.org/nominates. The jury then selects this year’s finalists, along with a winner who will receive a diploma, medal and prize money of SEK 100,000 to continue developing their project.
The Children’s Climate Prize was established in 2016 by Telge Energi, and over the years, several fantastic young people and projects have been awarded for their sustainable solutions.
