The unique IoT service miotiq.com is skyrocketing
Company M2MC, the operator of a global service miotiq.com used for communication management in the Internet of Things network, has grown tenfold for the third year in a row.
Prague, 12 May 2021 – The innovative company M2MC, a global leader in the management of communication devices in the Internet of Things (IoT) network, has reached another milestone. For the third year in a row, the company has grown tenfold, both in terms of turnover and in terms of the number of installations. The main product of the firm, which deals with the communication management of low-power devices for the Narrow-Band IoT (NB-IoT) and LTE-M networks, is the unique integration platform miotiq.com.
The Internet of Things represents a rapidly spreading technological revolution. IoT sensors are used in a wide range of human activities. We can find them in smart buildings and households, but also in the energy sector, automotive industry or in agriculture, where they open up completely new possibilities of use. They are increasingly used mainly in areas with poor accessibility, underground or even underwater, where they can work for up to several years without the need for recharging. The rapid growth of M2MC testifies to the fact that the demand for IoT services is constantly and steeply rising. The firm’s unrivalled integration platform miotiq connects to NB-IoT, the most advanced Internet of Things network, and is able to use networks of mobile operators all around the world.
NB-IoT networks in the sign of ten
Miotiq is a singular tool for simple and efficient connection of electronic devices with applications that process data from sensors. Such devices are operated mainly by manufacturers of end-use IoT sensors, application developers, IT integrators or technically proficient end-users. Miotiq allows absolutely anyone to connect their electronic device to the mobile network within ten minutes and for a price of up to ten euros.
All you need to connect is a special SIM card for low-power networks. The SIM is inserted either into the slot in the end-use device, or, thanks to the sim-on-chip technology, it can be powered directly, for example on the board of a communication module. Then all you have to do is a quick registration in the miotiq platform and you can immediately start to send data directly to the application database, data warehouse or cloud of all standard providers, such as Microsoft Azure, Google, AWS or IBM.
Moreover, miotiq is the first service in the world to offer the option of a non-IP connection, which ensures a significant reduction in the energy consumption of the batteries in the IoT sensors, thanks to which they last up to twice as long. In addition to the main advantages of sensors operating the NB-IoT network, which are two-way communication, excellent availability of mobile signal and high security, it also brings a significant energy efficiency.
‘Since its launch, miotiq has been a unique global platform and we continue to increase our technological lead. The miotiq service can currently be employed on all five continents. I am very pleased that the promotion of the Narrow-Band Internet of Things is starting to pick up significantly, and the developers of IoT sensors are beginning to realize that the future of the Internet of Things lies in the latest Narrow-Band standard,’ says Karel Krčmář, CEO of M2MC.
PG Board helps developers with prototyping
M2MC also offers a singular prototyping module PG Board. This device, which was the first and still is the only one of its kind in the world, allows operational testing and troubleshooting of NB-IoT device operation and, thanks to built-in sensors (including GPS), also directly create debugged prototypes of end-products. Thanks to the PG Board, developers can fine-tune individually created firmware to consume minimal energy, which is the main purpose of using low-energy IoT networks. The PG Board allows to shorten the process of development of the device to mere days instead of months. The PG Board solution includes an annual subscription to the miotiq platform with a data tariff of 200 kb per month, including connection to the NB-IoT network.
