City Network and Sensative partnering to deliver compliant IoT management as a digital infrastructure service
Today, European Cloud provider City Network is announcing a collaboration with the leading IoT solutions company Sensative.
The two companies will jointly provide Sensative’s IoT platform through City Network’s compliant cloud digital infrastructure services, enabling smart cities and smart buildings to leverage and manage IoT solutions from one single interface without compromising data privacy and GDPR compliance.
“I am excited to join forces with Sensative. Together, we will enable cities, companies, and individuals to make the most out of the connected society with full focus on data privacy,” said Johan Christenson, founder of City Network and VP Innovation.
Swedish-founded Sensative has, with its digitalization infrastructure management system Yggio, developed a solution addressing the challenge of a lack of IoT standardization.
With a huge number of connected devices implemented everywhere, the need for seamless collaboration between these has never been greater. In addition, IoT sensors compile a huge amount of often highly sensitive data that must be governed by local laws and regulations. With this partnership, Yggio will be delivered on City Network’s cloud services, thus ensuring the information is protected and governed by European data legislation.
“Smart cities have great potential to create a better and more sustainable life. However, there is a need to simplify the management of connected services, solutions, and buildings without compromising data laws and personal integrity. By providing our IoT management platform from City Network’s cloud services, we are addressing exactly this need and I am therefore really excited about the partnership,” said Mats Pettersson, CEO of Sensative.
The joint solution, which is delivered as a cloud service and available from City Network’s cloud zones across Europe, is targeting cities, municipalities, and the real estate industry across Europe.
“With Sensative’s IoT management platform, we are adding another vital technology for the digital transformation to our European cloud stack. We are also giving our customers the freedom of choice to base their IoT and digitalization efforts on personal integrity,” Johan Christenson concludes.
