Legimeet winner of “Tech Champion 2021”
In tough competition, Legimeet was named the winner of the Financial Times’ “Tech Champion 2021”.
More than 100 companies were nominated in nine sectors.
The competition was launched to identify the companies in Europe that had best managed to take advantage of innovation to deal with the pandemic. Thereafter, a jury selected a winner in each sector and Legimeet won in the Markets & Financial category.
Legimeet was selected for ”helping promote shareholder democracy by improving access to company annual meetings”. Financial Times correspondent Richard Milne further describes that ”the company has clearly used technology to seize an opportunity during the pandemic to improve life for shareholders”.
– We are extremely proud and happy to have won our category. The competition included both large and small of the most innovative companies in Europe, including Klarna and Nent. This recognition strengthens us in our continued work to develop Legimeet and shareholder democracy in Europe, says Johan Aronsson, CEO of Legimeet.
The panel of judges were put together by Financial Times in cooperation with Workday and consisted of Malcolm Moore, FT Tech Editor, Matthew Vincent, FT Project Publishing Editor, Oliver McKenna, Workday Chief Technology Officer, EMEA and Reshma Sohoni, co-founder of Seedcamp, a seed investor in pan-European start-ups.
