EcoOnline acquires Biome, an Irish Environmental social Software specialist
Integrating Biome’s environmental management and corporate social responsibility (CSR) software will be an essential strategic step in strengthening EcoOnline’s expertise and ability to provide organizations with end-to-end management and reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data.
Biome is based in Dublin, Ireland, and has loyal blue-chip customers such as Intel and Canon.

The potential for growth in the environmental and sustainability software segment is evolving rapidly. In addition, mandatory reporting directives (e.g., the EU Taxonomy) and reporting demands (e.g., Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, TCFD) increase the market demand and push the ESG area as a priority interest to many companies worldwide. According to the Verdantix 2021 ESG Global Corporate Survey report, firms are ramping up investments in ESG and sustainability, with 57% predicting double-digit spending increases in 2022.
