TCL Europe’s QLED TV C72+ Series and Mini LED TV C82 Series now equipped with Calman Color Calibration Software

Today announces its partnership with Portrait Displays to equip auto calibration capability for TCL QLED TV C72+ Series and Mini LED TV C82 Series, these two models have been recently launched for the European market this April in 2021.

What is “Calman Ready”?
Developed by Portrait Displays, Calman is the most widely used color calibration software in Hollywood studios and beyond. It meets the rigorous requirements found in color critical environments where calibration, reporting, verification, and validation are crucial.
Calman software is synonymous with color quality, ensuring that the consumer has an immersive lens to living room experience while enjoying films, TV shows, and streaming media.
The “Calman Ready” label is applied to displays and devices that seamlessly communicate with Calman software. Compatible displays and devices can then be calibrated with Calman software and improve color quality and accuracy.
With Calman Ready equipped on TCL C72+ Series TV and C82 Series TV, consumers can take full advantage of the Aurora Color Engine within Calman software, which has been built from the ground up by implementing the latest in color science research. The Aurora Color Engine utilizes next generation Unity Grayscale technology for 3D neutral spline bypass when using a 1D LUT and 3D LUT for calibration. Aurora Color Engine’s 3D LUT technology eliminates posterization and banding, improves the MatrixLUT formula for calibration, and adds 13pt fixed grid options for patchsets and additional support for patchsets.
