Artificial intelligence in the human resources department
Digital transformation is here to stay and is becoming a firm objective in more and more companies in our country. The impact of this change in professional habits is already an inevitable certainty, with improvements, advantages and obligations to modify tasks and duties.
Like that of the Human Resources area, a key piece for business success in which a new technology is entering: artificial intelligence. A new field of computing focused on the development of software specialized in solving certain problems related to human intelligence.
Artificial intelligence allows machines, computers in this case, to ‘think like humans’, not only processing information but also interpreting it, carrying out learning tasks, problem solving, reasoning and language processing. With all this, the work becomes more efficient, being less monotonous and repetitive, and the personnel selection processes become more personalized if possible, in accordance with the interests and objectives of each company.
Through artificial intelligence, plans can be made for each employee, accurate analysis of staff data to detect interests, deficiencies, demotivation, to evaluate performance and design appropriate incentives. Also, much more personalized and therefore efficient selection, evaluation and recruitment processes can be carried out, generating relevant information about the candidates. In this sense, the use of ‘ chatbots ‘, an automatic chat technology designed to contact potential workers in selection processes , is becoming more and more frequent .
In training and learning, artificial intelligence also improves the experiences and skills of workers. In short, the application of this technology dynamizes and optimizes the work of the department and, with it, that of the company in general.
Training is still a necessity
And most important of all, however ‘intelligent’ machines may be, they will never replace human beings and their thinking minds. In fact, the best thinking minds are needed to know how to apply and get the most out of technologies such as artificial intelligence. Hence, training in Human Resources continues to be an essential factor in order to effectively exercise this profession. Studying a master’s degree is an increasingly popular and successful option, with multiple access options online, as well as face-to-face, semi-face-to-face and distance learning.
