Accelerating Next with HPE Compute

Digital Transformation Article

The new foundation for Digital Transformation

Whether you were able to attend our “Accelerating Next” event on Wednesday April 21, or are returning to watch a session you missed, you’ll no doubt share my excitement about the day. HPE is your partner, helping you to address market opportunities as organizations emerge from the pandemic and Digital Transformation has become the new normal.

There are so many transitions and a paradigm shift in the market, in tech specifically, today. HPE Compute is working to help you accelerate what’s next as you transform to meet the new realities of business. The market shift has affected businesses of all sizes. In fact, a recent C-suite survey by Forbes showed far reaching plans for these new digital investments (with):

  • 66% planning to augment a new workforce model with automation and increased use of AI.
  • 70% planning to create completely new digital business models and revenue streams.
  • 73% planning to build seamless data driven digital customer experiences.
  • 74% planning to modernize and digitize operations to support next-gen operational models.

By 2025, Gartner predicts that 50% of enterprise data will be created outside of both the traditional datacenter and the public cloud. To bring insight and action closer to these new points of creation, organizations will need to distribute compute more broadly delivering a diversity of new edge and hybrid computing environments, deployed and consumed everywhere.

The crisis has forced the majority of CIOs to accelerate strategic agendas. Organizations that were already transforming have to transform faster, and organizations that were not on that journey have to rapidly develop and execute a plan to adapt to our new reality.

The challenge of Digital Transformation is the new reality. The choice of an infrastructure partner to underpin digital transformation matters.

During our Accelerating Next event, we had a series of great discussions featuring interviews with leaders of our key partner organizations. HPE CEO Antonio Neri spoke with Pat Gelsinger CEO of Intel and Dr. Lisa Su, CEO of AMD detailing how we are partnering to enable customers like you, by delivering the most comprehensive compute portfolio from edge to enterprise to exascale. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to catch up with John Chambers, founder and CEO of JC2 Ventures, to discuss the state of the market and the keys to success as we all rush to accelerate digital transformation.

Our customers from the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Velocix, and Salling Group each detailed their unique experience about their transformation journeys as they have had to adapt to supporting a remote workforce, rapidly respond to demand for online streaming content, and deliver new data insights and analytics capacity from an as-a-service model to power their business.

Expertise gaps are a significant headwind to modernizing infrastructure, apps, and data. HPE is addressing these challenges by delivering relevant expertise via workload optimization across our portfolio of products and HPE PointNext services. Krista Satterthwaite, HPE VP of Compute Product Management, led a roundtable discussion with HPE subject matter experts to discuss the depth and breadth of foundational compute capabilities to deliver the workload optimization by form factor, by solution, or both – to meet the exact needs of the new requirements presented by the new workloads of the next digital decade. Whether it be to enable the new realities of remote work across industries with VDI solutions, to addressing the ongoing buildout of the edge and edge analytics in support of 5G powered capabilities across industries – from manufacturing IT/OT to new experiences directly to customers, or to the ongoing build-out of hybrid cloud to address the new distributed datacenter to be multi-site and multi-edge.

We also realize that the right expertise includes how to create financial capacity for transformation so we concluded our event with a series of on-demand sessions covering such topics as new offerings from HPE Financial Services, HPE PointNext services, and HPE GreenLake to help customers confidently deploy new compute solutions and capabilities, monetize existing assets to fund transformation, and better match costs to revenues by consuming technology as a service.

Have a look at our other on-demand sessions that share best practices topics to enable key capabilities for the transformed enterprise. Learn how HPE is enabling remote work with VDI, how we are helping speed adoption of hybrid cloud and containerization to enable business agility, and how to get started with edge computing to unlock new insights and power new customer experiences at the edge.

While the digital transformation journey is unique to each of our customers, we stand ready to help provide the expertise, financial capacity, and resources to be successful. HPE is your partner for the compute technology, expertise, and economics necessary for digital transformation with unmatched workload optimization from the edge to enterprise to exascale, 360-degree security, and intelligent automation, all available in an as-a-Service experience.
