Swegreen has been nominated as one of the six finalists of the Smart Industry 2021 award, by the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences IVA and the winner will be announced in late February.

The annual competition, which is instituted by IVA, the Association of Swedish Engineering Industries and Siemens has been held since 2016.

The ‘Smart Industry’ award focuses on drawing attention to and rewards companies that harness and take advantage of the possibilities of digitalization in a smart and innovative way with concrete implementation and results. Finalists and winners represent a wide and broad range of industries and business areas, with smart digitization as a common denominator.

Swegreen reaches the finale of the prestigious ‘Smart Industry’ Award-We are honored to be nominated as one of the finalists of this competition and to win such an award is of great prestige, given IVA’s history and background. We believe we have a very decent chance of winning it! Says Sepehr Mousavi, Chief Innovation Officer of Swegreen.

For more than 100 years, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences has been a meeting place for Sweden’s future of engineering and technology.

IVA builds bridges between the business community, the public sector, academia, and the political sphere, to bring together the expertise and experience of 1300 Academy Fellows and over 250 member companies.

-Smart industry is all about good examples and best practices that lead the way to the future and are devoted to strengthening Sweden’s competitiveness and societal development. Swegreen has a unique and digitized solution for futuristic farming and the development of smarter cities and communities of the future. We look forward and are keen to see if we can take the award home! continues, Sepehr Mousavi.

– This year the jury has a very difficult but pleasant assignment. This year’s finalists are very different in terms of activities and branches but are all great examples of the opportunities that digitalization brings to the table – both for their own core business and for solving current and relevant societal challenges, states Johan Weigelt, Deputy CEO of IVA and chairman of the jury.
