NTT increases its global presence by twenty percent

NTT operates data centers in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia, and has a significant presence in India. North America:

In 2022, three new data center campuses opened in Hillsboro, OR, Santa Clara, CA, and Chicago, IL, in addition to the expansion in Ashburn, VA. NTT’s 47-acre (approx. 190,000 m2) Hillsboro campus features five data centers with 126 MW of projected compute load and ” Subsea Connect ”, a transpacific network connectivity service that provides connectivity between Hillsboro, Oregon, and Tokyo, Japan, using the “ Pacific ” submarine cable system. In the UK, the new flagship ‘London 1’ data center opened in December and, when fully operational, will increase NTT’s capacity by over 200% to support the digital pillar of the financial services industries , UK media and gaming. NTT has also invested in conduit and fiber to interconnect all of its London data centers.

Over the next two years, NTT will increase its available IT load in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region by more than 40% as it builds 13 new data center facilities in nine markets in six countries to provide 115 MW additional IT load on 50,000 m2. NTT will launch its first data centers in Madrid and Johannesburg, as well as adding some buildings in Vienna, Zurich, London and throughout Germany, with expanded data center interconnections.
